Post-Event Tour in Ireland (June 2026)

A post-event tour is being organised to the internationally renowned Burren in Co. Clare as well as to the low-level Atlantic peatlands of Connemara Co. Galway. The Burren is a karst landscape featuring mountains, bogs, heaths, grasslands and forests. Connemara is equally scenic with vast vistas of Atlantic blanket peatland rolling through the hills and mountains.

Departing Tullamore by bus on the afternoon of Thursday 11th, the tour will be led by Dr. Catherine O’Connell, Chair of the Irish Peatland Society with overnights in Ballyvaughan, Co. Clare (1 night) and Clifden Co. Galway (2 nights); and will return to Tullamore on Sunday 14th. The price per person on the basis of a minimum of 10 participants on this tour will be €1500. This will cover transport, accommodation on a B&B plus dinner basis and all lunches. If there are more than 10 then the individual price will be reduced.
